In an attempt to make sure that you do actually have an infestation of bugs you will need to look carefully at the bedding in an attempt to see if there is any red fecal spots similar to those that are left by bed bugs. Its a good idea to also look carefully at the mattress to see if there is any reddish spots. Its a very good idea to also look for skin sheds which has been left during the mating process or signs of eggs.

Once you manage to establish the reason for the problem you need to treat it straightaway. In an attempt to have success treating the problem its important to do a range of processes. One of the primary tasks that you want to do is to keep birds and bats away from the home. These animals tend to make nests in residential homes but this brings problems because they are hosts for bed bugs. This may be the way that they have got into the home environment in the first place.

It is very important to de-clutter the house so that the amount of hiding places for the bed bugs are greatly reduced. It is important to inspect any items and clean anything that you are not disposing of.

If you are going to keep any bedding that has been affected its important to wash the bedding with hot water. If it cant be washed for some reason they should be put in a warm dryer.

Its a good idea to place furniture outside in direct sunlight in an effort to kill all the bugs which are on it. Carpets can be steam cleaned in order to kill all of the bugs that may be living on it. All items that are being thrown away should be placed within a sealed rubbish bag and throw it away in the dust bin.
