What Problems Does Underweight Bring?

By Christian Goodman

Many of my articles focus on how to lose weight. It also describes how being overweight affects the health. Those health risk includes hypertension, diabetes etc.

I'm pretty sure most of the people who are overweight know about the consequence of being overweight, as it is taught to them for a long time.

What most people do not know is, being underweight is also a problem. When we look at some models in magazines we see some happy skinny models. But who knows what is happening inside their body?

Most of the skinny people also follow a diet that is very low on nutrition which again makes them underweight. Illness, stress, high metabolism and skipping meals are the major reasons why people are underweight.

Anorexia is a disorder in which one (predominantly women, although men are not immune) has a distorted body image and always sees his/herself as fat no matter how much weight they lose. Anorexics frequently starve themselves to lose weight.

These people may suffer from memory loss, lose their hair and can end their life with failure of vital organs like heart, kidney and liver.

They also get into rigorous exercise routine or can go to any extreme to eliminate food from their body. The tendency of a person consuming thousands of calories in one sitting and vomiting it after eating is called bulimia.

These people may get affected by esophageal damage, damage to the stomach and their tooth will also get permanently damaged due to stomach acids destroying their enamel.

Even those who do not fall into the eating disorder category but are consistently underweight can suffer health effects because their bodies aren't absorbing the proper amount of vitamins and minerals.

Lack of calcium can lead to osteoporosis, a condition where the bones become brittle and porous and can easily break. Even if one is able to get enough calcium, a lack of vitamin D will cause the body to be unable to process the calcium and rickets can be the result.

Lack of vitamin C in the diet can lead to scurvy, a condition where the major organs and tissues simply start to die. People who stick to mostly protein diets and fail to incorporate citrus into their diets are at risk.

These red blood cells are very important as it carries oxygen to important organs. There will be very low count of red blood cells produced by the body when there is less iron.

My weight lose breeze program is also highly recommended. You should also remember that my programs are designed to balance the metabolism of the body by carrying enough oxygen to all parts of the body. It is not about limiting the calories you intake.
