The Truth About Panic Attacks Cause

By Carolyn Miller

When we talk about panic attack, we seem to talk about gray clouds and empty pockets. This is how we feel about it. It is nothing but problems. If you have not experienced it yet, then good for you, stay that way. A friend might perhaps relate to you how bad it is when you have panic attack. If you have, then you can vouch for whatever gloomy description they give about it.

If you want a technical or rather a medical description, panic attack is a "period of intense fear and discomfort". Fear, added by intense would mean close to hell. The mere thought of it, if you think deeply about it, would get you wishing that you will stay away from panic attack. But are you really away? To test, here are some symptoms of the disorder. A 'racing heart'; something like those you hear in suspense movies where a character is about to be killed by its stalker and you can heart the sound of a heart going faster and faster by the second. Other symptoms would be difficulty in breathing, sweating, trembling etc.

When people ask what causes such a problem, the answer would be many. Of all the researches and studies conducted for this disorder, there is still no pin pointing of what really is the major panic attacks cause. There are however a few factors that triggers this disorder.

We could say that one panic attacks cause would be the environment itself. If you live in a place where alcohol and tobacco and all manner of harmful factors are present, then it is more likely that you develop panic attack. This would lead to the lifestyle you are living. Environment plays a big role in a person's life.

Another cause is biological make up of a person. When the brain has something which is wrong in it, then it would follow that its function would somehow be distorted causing some psychotic disorder like depression or panic attack. We now how powerful the brain can be, now we know that if it has some defects, it could also bring us down big time.

There are also some claims that panic attack may be caused by genes. This would mean that panic attack can be transferred from the parent to the son, or in other words, inherited. More and more studies lately have shown that those who are suffering from panic attack may have relatives who also had some anxiety disorders. It may or may not be panic attack but it could well be some disorder like depression. This would mean that panic attacks cause could also sometimes "run in the blood".

These three, environment, biological make up, and the genes may be the biggest factors that cause panic attacks. So take note of them just in case. They are nuggets of wisdom that you must treasure for the future.

As of now, we only have these. But then, these are good enough information. We can live with it or we can live without it but for sure, when you have panic attack, unless treated, we cannot say we live. It is so hard to live with panic attack clinging.
